Stephen O. Boyo was born in London, England of ‘alternative’ parentage and began writing short stories as a teenager. He began writing prose fiction in his early twenties while completing a law degree and totally bored out of his brains in the late eighties. He did complete that degree and moved on to work in finance, education and public affairs in the nineties and noughties, by which time he had completed several unpublished manuscripts of novels including The Marionette Adrift. Whilst he has published several works of non-fiction, The Marionette Adrift is his first published novel. Stephen continues to live and write in London and cites painting abstracts as a hobby.
